The Destruction of Downtown Morehead, Kentucky

The elected leaders of Morehead have pursued a course of turning the downtown area of the city into a giant parking lot. Most of these measures are allegedly taken to provide parking for its conference center. The latest conference center's budget statement shows that the conference center is a failure and does not generate sufficient revenue to justify its existence.
