I've always wanted to try macro photography, so I finally broke down and bought a new lens. It snowed a little last night, which means the springtime bugs aren't photogenic yet. On a whim I thought I'd try a close-up of a fairly old comic book. Many thanks to Duncan for help with the color correction in Lightroom.

Partly cos' I can't afford a macro lens - though I do have some extension tubes, but partly because I'm not sure what to photograph. This has given me some ideas though.
