    I need to clarify the nature of this photo.

    This is not actually something I took, it is, in fact, a photograph that was given to me by a street photographer named Ed who approached me on the street in London. I do not own the negative, I just own this fantastic photo that carries the kind message Ed inscribed to me on its back which says "To Claire, with love. -Ed."

    This is forever a treasured momento for me because Ed, an Eastern European photographer who appeared to be in his late Seventies just approached me on the street and just showered me with the most fantastic compliments I have ever received. He told me I would be a "muse" for him and that I was the most striking girl he had seen in years in London. Being from America and having found myself in a city I had always fantasized about, I was, to say the least, floored by his kindness and the fact that this event just happend to me in a foreign city that was in some ways intimidating and new. I was almost moved to tears when he took out this photo from his slingback bag and started to write me a message on the back of it (i'll scan it soon).

    In short, I offer this photo as inspiration to the masses on the internet because Ed's work, from what I saw on his camera, was charming and fully celebrating life in its nature. Take this, and remember that life is quirky and beautiful when you look at it. Take that with you wherever you're taken.
