Tonight I returned home from a week away in the small town of Oliver.
The drive through the Penticton area and Manning Park was a wintery
wonderland. The drive was a little sketchy but boy was it stunningly
beautiful. I was truly just struck by how beautiful it is in this
little corner of the world and how blessed that I am to live here and
be able to explore such a place.
This is a shot from the end of the summer taken on a solo hike up to Thurston peak and meadows. I talked for a while with this paraglider and then snapped a few shots as he literally walked into the air. Boy was I jealous - just thinking about the walk back to the car made me long for the ability to jump off the mountain like this guy.
This shot for the Global Creative Photography Project Theme of Sports. ... I guess I interpreted it as extreme sports. Hope that's ok Peter!
