. Europe - quo vadis?
© 2008 All rights reserved by JulioC (from my 2005 archives) - See it ::: On Black :::
Quo vadis is a Latin phrase meaning "Where are you going?"
I found the shape of this Europpean skyscraper very curious, just like if something had cut this building, preventing it from growing more...
This picture was taken at the quartier d\'affaires de La Défense, in Paris (August 2005)

Madeira Island (Portugal) - Santa Clara Convent
This convent was founded at the end of the 15th century by the second captain of Funchal, João Gonçalves da Câmara, and the original construction started around the small Our Lady of Conception chapel, to be amplified later progressively.
This building have always served the purpose for which they were originally built 500 years ago: as a convent for Franciscan nuns.
