Pertenecen a un templo de dominicos, que llegaron a Pontevedra a finales del slqio XII y comenzaron la construcción de esta iglesia en el siglo XIII. En el siglo XVIII comenzaron una reconstrucción en estilo neoclásico no finalizada.
