Schuyler's beloved friend Jasper (now made famous amongst inanimate bears by his appearance in the book) suffered a dibilitating and disfiguring injury in the mouth of Schuyler's dog, Max.

Rather than watch Schuyler's little heart break, we opted for gentle deceit and a frantic trip to the mall. Jasper 2.0 looks just different enough from his predecessor to worry me, but we'll see if she notices anything tomorrow.

I know, I know.

	basykes says: We have a family heirloom, the only one, really, that we call "Delicate Pooh." , a Pooh bear that was passed down from child to child. One year the dog ate its face and I think I was more upset than the kids (who were all grown by that time). For Christmas that year, my daughter rebuilt the face and gave him to me as a gift. It was one of the best presents I ever received. The bear, who has long since lost its stuffing and hence any ability to sit upright, now resides in a large Mayonnaise Jar in a place of honor in the living room. Posted 5 months ago. ( permalink )
