Very beautiful! Looks like you are near
First Beach on the Olympic Peninsula. We
were there a few months ago. What a
spectacular view!

Wow ... viewed this size it is a very good
shot. Viewed large it comes alive in the
misty beauty. Really a stunning panoramic
shot. The steel blue tones are cool and
refreshing. Excellent work. It reminds me
why I love coastal Washington and Oregon. :)

Definately comes to life larger. Your
photographs ignite a sensory explosion.
Ironically, here its raining heavily but the
mix of begin taken to this beach and weather
outside brings the sounds and smells alive.
Thanks

ha. justin :) nope...i'm afraid not. i did
go with intentions of trying to take some
self-portraits outdoors in various states of
dress (or undress)... but 6-8 hours of hiking
every day for 9 days took that plan away from
me. i was tired enough without setting up a
tripod and running back and forth between
camera and scene over and over again. hehe.

Great shot, I'll most likely be the only one
to say this but I think would be better
without the bird, I think it breaks the mood.

Oh Yessssss! Been a long time between drinks
but worth the wait. What a vista Lauren -
that front wave freeze is perfect.
Beautifully moody. What soul food to stand
before this and to be swallowed by it. Love
it.
It looks brilliant large - I'd be inclined
to put it on black as well.

bird in the sky, they give a sense of time
which an empty sky lacks.

The trouble I find with your shots Lauren, is
that, after a plethora of glowing comments,
throwing in one of my own seems rather like
throwing a twig to fuel the fire of London.
For what its worth, its a lovely serene and
calming shot!

*snip...* "my nikon d300 and the 17-55mm f/2.8 lens"
always figured you for a Nikon girl. nothing
but the best for our fave (well mine anyway)
photog! but then... you could make magic with
a cardboard box and sheet film. i'd be
willing to wager on that :)
great capture, lauren. you make it work, and
never cease to dazzle. hope you're having a

discretely more blurred by the fog... The
