Home Is Where Your Hat Is by CinemaCowgirl.
this was taken in a pretty dimly lit room, so lots of visible polaroid grain here. i just love the way this film translates color and light.

You know I remember a time when Poloroid was the only way to take photos like this - without it ending up in some photo geek's personal collection.

The light is very soft, but the picture is so well constructed. I notice the mirror in the dim part of the room and even the reflection is perfectly lined up.
I feel like it could be a hotel room, but thats my own personal experience of this picture.

It's really a shame what happened to Polaroids. I know somebody who has film and never uses it. I'll ask him if I can get a hold of the rest of his stock. I'd be happy to send you over whatever he has left because you take some amazing photos with Polaroids. I love the look of those images.

With the supply down and the demand for the rare Polaroid film up I'd rather just donate for free any film to a person who appreciates it and can do the great film justice.

Lauren, I made this mosaic as a tribute to the fine worlds of art you bring to all of us at Flickr.

I love your polaroid work and yes, the way it reads different light temperatures and the softness of the emulsion is uniquely it's own standard.
I just love how there is a hat and glasses on the night table and the figure in panties at the mirror with just her breast in the reflection...brilliant composition, wonderful mood and leaves me with thoughts wondering what is really happening in this scene.

Fantastic image Lauren :-)

I loved this... I have a polaroid but where i live is difficult to get the films, too sad to me, everytime i look at your photos they make me imagine the escene of a movie, sometimes i want to be part of it. This is what i like from photography, the mysterious, the story that leave us with a question. Be well Lauren ;)

I had a sx-70 blend film as well but now I just used the filter from the cassette with 600 film. It's dead simple, the filter film just lays on a top of cassette. Its fixed with a little piece of blue sticky tape. You can reuse it infinitely. Don't through away those empty sx-70 blend cassettes :)
I would be more than happy to explain more (sx-70 blend film is a 600 film with a filter on a top)

An interesting little story unfolding..the hat and glasses, the attractive young woman, the neat and sparse layout of a hotel room. A planned rendezvous or a spontaneous reaction to a moment reached, we can only guess.

I like Nardell's way of putting it..a movie in one frame.
