White-crowned Sparrow

There are two of these cute birds hanging around. They're very shy, but have such a pretty song. I only see them in the winter.

Oddity

We have three male cardinals around with coloring anomalies. One is almost all light grey, but with the beard and red crest.

Who You Lookin' At?

Juncos are the harbinger of winter and come in about the middle of October. They stay all winter and then head north when warmer weather moves in.

Curiosity

This little Carolina wren was in and out of this wreath on our back fence. I suspect it was thinking it might be cozy on a cold day. They're very curious birds and have been known to nest in just about anything, including garden shoes left on a shelf on patios!
