Bronzeskulptur "Der Ringer" von Hugo Lederer (1908) auf dem Raußendorffplatz an den Strassen Länderallee, Heerstraße und Preußenallee in Berlin-NeuWestend. Die Statue wurde 1926 auf einem erhöhtem Muschelkalksockel mit Bodenplatte und vier Eckkugeln aufgestellt.

Weder am Sockel noch am Platz befindet sich ein Hinweis auf die Bedeutung und Herkunft der Skulpur.

Bronze sculpture called "Der Ringer" (read: "the wrestler") built by Hugo Lederer (1908) in 1926. Baseplate with four corner balls and socket are made out of limestone shell. It's located on the Raußendorffplatz at the streets Länderallee, Preußenallee and Heerstrasse in a Berlin district called Neu-Westend.

Unfortunately there's no sign whatsoever which indicates meaning or origin of this sculpture.

ah verstehe, verstehe! also mit ausschlussverfahren meine ich, dass es durchaus möglich gewesen wäre, anhand meines sonstigen gwb-postingverhaltens sowie meines photostreams möglich gewesen wäre, den standort des ringers recht eng einzugrenzen und mit der luise zu bestimmen.

es gibt eine stelle in "riverdance", wo eine spanierin einen irisch angehauchten flamenco tanzt. das stück heißt "firedance" ... und seine körperhaltung passt dazu. :-)
