The Queen

The Queen

Another one of my shots that I have been sitting on for a quite a while and finally time for it to see the light of Internet. See what I did there? The Queen Marry is located in the heart of Long Beach and has even become one if not the main attraction for this water front city.

I captured this shot one night with +Khris Griffis during a very long walk around Downtown Long Beach. The Queen Marry itself had been retired since 1967 and since then has gone through a couple of owners and no longer sits a float on her own accord. She has now been turned into a hotel and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

We didn't make it aboard that night, there was an event going on, plus we were unsure of the tripod policy. It might make a fun additional trip to go on board. Rumor has it she is haunted.

Skateboarder

Skateboarder

Another long night of shooting, but it was a lot of fun!

Our first stop was the Venice Beach Skate Park. Several of us were out there last week, but I brought some different glass this time around and got some cool shots.

I had a hard time picking which shot to post. Their were all types of personalities whipping around the park, but I really wanted to highlight this one guy. He reminded me of the classic Venice Skater style.

Venice Beach

Venice Beach

Venice is a beachfront district on the Westside of Los Angeles, California, United States. It is known for its canals, beaches and circus-like Ocean Front Walk, a two-and-a-half mile pedestrian-only promenade that features performers, fortune-tellers, artists, and vendors.

Los Angeles International Airport

Los Angeles International Airport

Yesterday Khris Griffis, Derek Cross and I had a bit of a After-PhotoWalk-PhotoWalk-Walk-Walk to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) entrance.

LAX is the primary airport for the Los Angeles area and is the 6th busiest airport in the world. It is occupied by a little under 6 billon travelers coming in and out of this airport each year.

As you would imagine, security would be the number one issue when shooting anywhere in or around this airport. Last night, we did not have any problems or even run in with any type of fuzz.

We parked a little ways-away and pretty much just walked up to the sign and begin shooting. Though I did lose my footing and pretty much tackle Derek. Other then that, it was pretty much good times :)
