They say Boulder, Colorado is surrounded on all sides by reality. In this fake tilt-shift effect you could really believe the stories are true. I blogged about Boulder here.
By the way, the cool thing about tilt-shift fakes is that they don't work on young children. The effect depends on the fact that we know from experience that it is impossible for a camera to have such a shallow depth of field at a great distance. The only way this could happen, our brains tell us, is if it's a macro shot of a model!
But if you're only a few years old, and haven't seen enough of these photos to know, there's no reason to imagine it's a model. Try it and see!
