      It's not really a cactus, it is a yucca known as the Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia)

      Very cool. I love Joshua trees. I didn't realize they were yuccas. I love yuccas (the regular kind) too. I love the combination of sun and dark clouds. The mountains are awesome as well.

      A very contrasty scene with desert hues and colorful sky.....hint of a rainbow. I think the foreground shadow might be distracting and possibly weaken the scene.

      I replaced this picture with this cropped version. The original had a distracting shadow across the bottom of the frame, and I think this is definitely a more pleasing composition. Thanks Teddy!
