cigarette break in the rain

having a sandwich at a little hole-in-the-wall place in los angeles i noticed a guy shielding himself from our torrential rain.

prior to this when i rolled up i saw him pooring a 40 oz malt liquor into a coke cup.

a big coke cup.

yes, i gave him a dollar toward the purchase of the next beer.

no i don't care if you don't like the black borders. trust me on this.

my sis baked a cake for another dog's bday. the chi chi i have on flickr.

m, our cavalier king charles spaniel, kept a very wary eye on said cake.

met my friend for coffee at lamill in the most wonderful neighborhood in los angeles. no, the westside doesn't count. ;)

picked up the camera, pre-focused with the scale, re-focused on the bridge of her nose and ... one frame.

i like that you can tell she's wistfully waiting.

and checking her iphone every 30 seconds.
