Cormorants - on a log
After sitting in the sun for awhile, my wife and I walked back to the car to leave. Along the path we came upon this nice grouping of Cormorants.
I was going to continue out the gate when my wife strongly urged me to stop and make this image. I'm glad she insisted.
As they were not moving too much, I set the camera/lens firmly on the tripod, switched off the image stabilization, and turned on the 2 second delay. I shot a fair number of images in this manner. All are very very sharp.
