They are Back — but in trouble

They are Back — but in trouble by christopherlord.
A pair of Swainson's hawks have been living near our house (near the abandoned Griesbach base in Edmonton). We found out last month that the little blob of bush where they are nesting will be demolished soon to make way for a posh man-made lake, park area, and a bunch of half-million dollar MDF palaces. Hopefully they will be done with this year's chicks before the developers chew down the trees.

WHAT?! Who's the developer? I was under the impression these birds were on the Endangered Species list...

Ok good. Once I find out if they are classed as endangered then there may be a way to keep them from getting hurt or worse. :)
