Hi, I'm an admin for a group called Tree Snakes, and we'd love to have this added to the group!

Nice photo, but I think It's a Black Rat Snake, not a racer.

you are welcome to use the photo. No matter what type it is, it is a beautiful specimen and worthy of admiration.
When we saw it, we only saw the "front" profile, thinking it was 3-4 feet long. Then realized there was an entire length of snake on the back side of the tree.
Cannot say 100% it is a racer. I looked at photos of both and the snake I saw had a white area under the head, and it appeared to be more consistently darker on the body. The photo I have appears to show the underside of the rat to be white more through out the body length. But could be either, I am no expert.
Thanks for comments.
