pretty lat/long

trainspotting...

I been out to shoot this train before, but in much colder temperatures. While the moon was behind this vintage passenger car it still made for nice cloud movement. In addition the sodium "stadium lights" were quite LOUD in this rail yard.

Thanks to Katie for staying inside the car, flashing the strobe and keeping me company.

There were other shenanigans (inside) with Just Add Light that were fun as well back in November 08'...especially since he was a on a sprained (alcohol) ankle....ha ha ha. Plus my DJ skills are fairly good when no one is around...

details: night, long exposure, and NO PS...except crop. I would have like to expose it a tad bit longer for the wheels/track, but then the train would have been BLOWN out by the sodium vapor monster. (to the right and behind the car)

45 Drive-In ticket booth...

The remains of a ticket booth/entry point to the 45 Drive-In in rural Wisconsin.

details: full moon, long exposure, magenta gelled strobe, taken at 3 a.m. At this point of the evening I had been awake 20 straight hours and feeling tired...especially knowing I had a 2.5 hour ride home to sleep. It was a fun drive...thanks to Peter for not falling asleep...

45 Outdoor Drive-In

A long closed drive-in theater in northern Wisconsin. While I am not a "sign chaser"...there is nothing like capturing a glimpse of the past. Signs are even mundane today. The old saying "they don't make them like they used to" applies here.

oh and the "storage" movie rocked! ha ha ha...
