These chairs, made of recycled bike tires, overlook a small but
vibrant wetlands at the gardens of Sampson & Beasley. Their garden
was featured during Metro's "Gardens of Natural Delights"
tour. The garden inspired a song by Pink Martini, "The Gardens of
Sampson & Beasley," and the band has performed there. It was
one of the coolest gardens I've ever seen - lots of hidden treasures
and art and installations. It was sort of the Northwest version of a
Southern gothic garden.

I have no idea where they came from - unfortunately, the garden/home owner was busy directing traffic because his garden was one of the most popular on the tour! So I couldn't corner him to ask...

really cool idea for a chair. But I imagine if you wear white pants, they will get noticably dirty after sitting on these chairs.

This is a really neat idea to do with useless old tires. My mother actually uses lawn tires and created a raised vegetable garden. She grows tomatoes there and they grow at a faster rate due to increased temperature from the sun beaming on the black tires. I am going to send her this link, she will definitely be impressed.
