Dripping Sweat

Dripping Sweat by Christina T.
It always looks like he's sweating when it rains. He's got a name, I just didn't read the plaque. He's Canadian I'm sure.

Neat, Christina, I never thought about using rain to suggest sweat. Very creative.

:) Thanks! I walked by it one day to pick up some tickets from Ticketmaster, and though, hmmmm, that looks like sweat.... Perfect!

An unintended consequence or a bit of clever thinking from the sculptor? I mean they must have known that it does rain a bit more than average in Vancouver!

Yeah, hard to figure out if it was intentional or not.... Adds another dimension to it anyways.

I think this is a statue of Roger Bannister, the first athlete to run the mile in under four minutes. He was a Brit and accomplished the feat at Empire Stadium in Vancouver. If I'm right, the city moved the statue a few years ago.
