Below is an excerpt from my travel blog. Cheers.
I woke up to 18 inches of snow this morning in New York City. On Avenue A, the street I live on there are people walking through the streets trying to dig their way out of the snow. At some point in the night the temperature must have cooled the warm pavement so that ice formed under the snow. As if they were in sync, 4 buses that have all turned sideways, are stuck in the street outside my apartment. New York City handles these storms well. Police and Firemen are at every corner helping people however they can. Snow days are always fun and I'm going to continue enjoying the snow. I'll put up some more photos tomorrow as I get around to them.
This photo is looking down Avenue A. Although the sun has come out, it's obstructed by snow blowing horizontally as this low front continues to make its way through the area. Enjoy the snow if you're in New York City!
