'Cambodia is merely a dream with no meaning', shouted a lawyer over a beer from across the bar. The lawyer, a bit of a spitfire has been in the country for over 20 years and has no intention of leaving. 'A dream with no meaning', that quote resonated throughout my head for quite some time. It occurred to me at that point why I have enjoyed Cambodia so much.
A dream without a meaning is a wonderful thought. For me, I have a hard time dreaming without trying to find some meaning behind it. I find it hard to actually sit back and enjoy a dream for what it's worth. My two weeks in Cambodia have been without a worry in the world. I loosened my reigns and let this amazing place lead me down paths that I'll never forget. Sitting on my bed as I write this, my shoulders are not tense, my head is a far from a headache as it's ever been and I don't have a care in the world. This Cambodian dream without meaning will end tomorrow but I look forward to another one in Vietnam. I've truly enjoyed this leg of my trip.
Above is one of the beaches in Sihanoukville, Cambodia. I took a 2 night trip with a group of people I met at the pub and guesthouse in Phnom Penh. The beaches are beautiful. Sihanoukville, although a bit underdeveloped is a great place for anyone looking for a tropical paradise.
I'm currently traveling the world - if you're interested in checkin out my HDR travel blog you can at www.LostManProject.com. Cheers from Cambodia.
