Another one from the same walk as my last upload but this is near the start - it's a bit of a shame it was so bright that the sky is pretty completely blown but I still think it works!

Today's walk was around Grantham canal by Cotgrave, this was taken towards the end as the sun was getting lower in the sky and I noticed how it was catching the reeds.
Thought it suited a square crop and a slight 'lomo' treatment in post.

Had to do a bit of long exposure stuff while I was out, but not 100% happy with anything, this is one of the ones that came out the best, just a shame I couldn't get a better angle on the bridge, it's kinda lost against the horizon from this viewpoint.
I stacked two Cokin ND8 filters to get the exposure long enough.

Went for a bit of a walk round Gunthorpe today with the fiance as we hadn't been out much recently and we both wanted to take some photos (I got her a Holga for Christmas!).
I took a lot of shots and had some pretty clear compositions in my head before we went, but as usual the on the spot ones have come out as my favourites and I'm not particularly happy with the images I put more work into!

Anyway this is just shot with the 400D, Sigma 18-200mm and a ND Grad filter - I'm really pleased with the balance of the exposure and the colours I got out of it, there was some great light at that time of day :)
