These are called "Kinoko no yama" and they're ubiquitous in Japan. They have a sister snack called "Takenoko no sato" which are shaped like little bamboo shoots but have more of a graham-crackery taste to the cookie. I live in Japan and at a time went through about a box a day...I've since cut back.

edit: Oh, and the names mean "Mushroom Mountain" and "Bamboo Shoot Field" respectively.
