just a little too long...

just a little too long...

I've been loving you too long to stop now
There were time and you want to be free
My love is growing stronger, as you become a habit to me
Oh I've been loving you a little too long
I dont wanna stop now, oh
With you my life has been so wonderful
I can't stop now

Otis Redding's classic "I've been loving you too long"

Here is Seal's cover...the song and his voice is like butter...buttah! I've been listening to it at work and daydreaming :)

연꽃 (can't remember the name in english)

연꽃 (can't remember the name in english)

We were hit with a heatwave in LA towards the latter part of September (contributing to my insomnia) and then out of nowhere had rain this past weekend. So what did my friend and I decide to do in the rain? Go to the beach naturally. We went to the Getty Villa, a museum located right across the street from the Pacific Ocean. It was a museum I frequented as a child but hadn't been in ages...the recent renovations took away from the romantic and idyllic feel of the museum/mansion but its still a beautiful and fun place to visit. I recommend a trip to anyone in the LA area.

innocence

innocence

We went to go ride the trolley with our coworker's son and saw this little girl sitting in front of us. She was the cutest little thing so I waved and smiled at her. Her name is Vicky and she kept turning around to smile at me throughout the ride. It was the sweetest thing :)

I think there is something amazing about being well liked by kids. If I had to choose I'd rather be well liked by kids than by adults for kids are still honest and pure. Its sad but experience has taught me to take what grownup people do with a grain of salt. You can't take everything people say and do at face value and what you see is not what you always get. I guess I may need to grow a thicker skin at some point in my life but for now I'm just glad that I am still well liked in the eyes of an innocent child.
