Green Wings

The wings of this butterfly were lime green in color.

I took a number of photos of butterflies at the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center located at Callaway Gardens in Georgia.

Thanks Mimi Kat! No tripod on this one. I did however set the timer to 2 secs and then tried to stand very still until the shot was taken. I quickly learned butterflies don't land for long ... so I missed a lot of shots that day using this method :-)

Great shot, Chris. And literally -- a terrific capture -- those butterflies at the Day Center at Callaway are so fast and active! I was amazed to see a green one there (no doubt a relative of your butterfly here) but came nowhere close getting a decent shot. But you did it -- this one's a jewel! @ HaleyHyatt - Thanks! The butterflies do indeed move around in there. Thank goodness for digital cameras where you can make a 100 photos if you want and delete the rest "-)
