This screen, part of a memorial to British soldiers who died in the Anglo-Zulu war of 1879 (and dating to that period), incorporates Zulu shields and spears into its design.

so unusual and interesting...my only knowledge of that incident was from the Stanley Baker movie but I did read recently what the zulus did to the bodies of the soldiers is now understood to be a sign of respect for brave warriors and an attempt to free their spirits...have you heard that?
