Planet Moeraki

Planet Moeraki by Chris Gin.
Here's a shot which was in my 'non-keeper' (i.e. bin) folder. By the time I took this shot, the colour had all but faded from the sky and the foreground is pretty much a mess.

But I was playing around with the Nik Silver Efex filter last night and I quite like how the rocks look in B&W, so here you go.

Looks Better Large

Love it, love it, love it Chris. It's all about comp not colour. Even the sand patterns work into this. Not to mention the lines of surf, the little puddles behind the rocks, so much to see. Great angle, a fav for me and I must visit Moeraki when I get down there in Aug. Faved Chris (pixeloc)

Holy crap! That is a tremendous shot. Love those rock features. Contrast is perfect here for black and white, from the sand to the rocks to the sky. LOVE when I find something in my trash files that I end up liking, but don't have anything that turned out as well as this! Great shot.
