I thought I would put a break inbetween my lake district landscape photographs. I have a few more waiting to be uploaded, but true to form I had to put some dark stuff in between.
This is a thought that has been lingering in my mind for a while. I watched corpse bride and thought, it isn't corpse enough. I had a wedding dress type thing in the bottom of my wardrobe that I had salvaged from a local theatre. I had planned to use it for many different shoots but never got round to it, and so it stayed in its place for a fair few months. I know this incredible special effects make up artist and spoke to her about maybe corpse bride but actual corpse like. She liked the idea and so we did it. I used my favourite model, Gabriella, she is also a good friend. She knows I am little quirky and so she accepted the idea as 'kinda cool' and offered to be manipulated by us both. The shoot was a little troublesome. My first lighting method just stopped working. Change of bulb didn't last long. I was determined not to allow either brand new £450 flash head into my cellar. In the end I had to, with a beauty dish as a diffuser.
I am unsure on some of the photos, I don't think the corpse comes across how I would like it to. But again I think alot of them in the set are quite good photographs in their own right. So with this one, it is a 'make your own mind up' on what is going on.
