i was covered in it...wayne blasted it right in the face of one of my photog friends in the pit and then proceeded to point at him and grin

the entire experience was so transcendent...when the naked chicks came out, i didn't know whether to keep shooting or not, omg hahaha

      This photo made me cry.

I cannot express how moving that show was. I don't think there was a single person without their hand rasied.

      You captured the moment.

      Echo Tanner

The show blew me away --- the sheer power of it, the emotion, the transformation of meaning.

      Transcendent is right.

Great shots over at Stereogum. I just saw them a few minutes ago and I plan on adding them to my blog's list of links for national coverage of Sasquatch! They are easily the best sets of Sasquatch! photos I've seen.

your sasquatch photos are phenomenal, great work!!!

what wide lens are you using for some of those shots, a 10-22? love the perspective!

when i was shooting the flaming lips over the weekend, my camera got f'd up after the second song (i mangled a couple of the pins in the CF slot when I was changing cards) so i didn't get any shots of the naked girls. that isn't bumming me out as much as the $300 it's costing me to get my camera repaired :(

time to go back to shooting film at concerts for a little while!

anyway, great great work! i passed your stereogum link on to a few friends whom i think would really love your shots as well.

      cheers!
      michael

hey hey i fucked up too! i accidentally dropped a 2gb cf card into a crack during modest mouse's set at the mainstage. i'm pretty sure now that the card was blank, but i didn't realize that until i got back from the gorge...i thought some band portraits i did were on that card, but it turns out the card with that stuff on it was safe at the bottom of my camera bag. i was freaaaaaking.

sucks about the card. and hey film is the best thing there is!

i was shooting with a a friend's sigma 10-20 for a lot of the mainstage shots. thanks for passing my work around dude, that means a lot!

it was so funny when the naked chicks came on stage, i had to think abut whether or not i should keep snapping for a split second...hahaha...that was an easy decision.

What a line up at Sasquatch. Your stereogum shots were just fantastic. You got at least one great image for nearly every act.

    27. chona kasinger (49 months ago | reply)

      haha thanks.

i was sitting on the lawn with my friends drinking a smirnoff and i was like half drunk and i saw this and knew i absolutely had to get a shot, so i stumbled over to the fence in front, steadied my 70-200 on it and snapped this. true story. it was such a beautiful moment.

I'm totally coming in on this way after the fact, surfing through old Sasquatch pictures and getting excited about this year, but this is a wonderful picture. That weekend was one of the best experiences of my life, climaxing in that Flaming Lips set at the end. I echo what everyone else has said and more, really cool shot!
