Reminds me of another convenience store in Tokyo called "Sunkus"...being a gaijin, it took me a while to realize this was supposed to mean "Thanks" instead of some strange derivation of Sunkist or the like...the manager of my local Sunkus store was called 'Mr. Yasui' (in eigo, 'Mr. Cheap')...he was a lovely fellow.

@macjohnmcc: Well, I usually type Fuku, so the full name is a step up really.

@balcer: Have yet to encounter "sunkus"...that's one for the to-do list. I find that most convenience stores managers are complete asses. I accidentally tried to pay with Thai bath once (common mistake as my wallet is full of weird currencies) and he physically grabbed my arm and yelled at me. I have no clue what he said...but I went home and put a curse on him.

You should hyphenate that shorter name... Fuk-U... they might not get the reference. Unless you chuckle too loudly.

7: kinds of raw fish with heads still attached

11: ways to make you gag

7: days a week

11: days a week if you're numerically incompetent

Am I getting close?

All are correct... and 7-11 is the old operation hours..... now it's like 24-7 but not as catchy. ;)
