it's edible, made mostly of dough and i think fish.

This is japanese fishcake, or kamaboko-aka (i believe thats correct!)
shio ramen by noxipoo.
there's a ramen place in mitsuwa market called santoka ramen that serves only ramen. i think 4 kinds of soup base and different grades of pork. it is the only place i know of in chicagoland area that serves this kind of ramen and it is sooo good. they claim many japanese people say it is the best in the area and i agree.
