I grew up with line dried clothes. We lived in South America where it was hot and dry. We line dried the clothes so the cotton sheets and towels got that stiff feeling. That’s what I love. I noticed that the towels are kind of scratchy when I get them off the line and I love it! I feel like they actually dry instead of just the smearing water around.

We line dried everything when I was growing up (my parents still do) and I admit I now get a huge sense of luxury from machine-dried towels, even though you're quite right that line-dried dry better.

I do love all the green towels hanging outside. I never realized almost all the towels I own are green or white, funny.

Ahh a woman after my own heart! Line dried is the only way to go. I think using a dryer is a rediculous waste and should only be used if your desperate!
