Me at the Berlin Wall, Oct 11, 1991![]() ![]() One of the surprisingly few sights I had seen while in Berlin for two days in the fall of 1991.
One thing that is a bit funny about this photo is that most of my family members have a copy of it despite that I don't really care for how I look in it. You see about three months into my stay in Europe, I sent home about 20 or 30 rolls of slides and film. My father eagerly developed them in order to have some pictures of me in front of different sights. But I wasn't fond of pictures that people take with them in front of tourist attractions. But after being moved at the Checkpoint Charlie museum, I joined my fellow travellers and had my picture taken in front of the wall. So out of the close to a 1000 photos, this was the only one with me in front of someplace famous. My father made a handful of copies and gave them to our family members. Of course I learned my lesson and made sure to have my picture taken in front of other sights later during my stay. CommentsThe Irish Samurai
