Requiem for a V-DUB
My trusty 2003 VW Jetta GLI is headed for the Big Garage in the Sky. Last week, a woman shot thru a red light and broadsided me. HARD! No injuries, I'm happy to report...not even stiffness or soreness. Today I found out why. The V-Dub absorbed tons of damage beneath the sheetmetal, including mangled front/rear suspensions. Insurance co says its a total loss. Was a great car tho. The VW flag will be at half-staff...repast at my house..

I am so happy you were not hurt, and thank God you had a good car; your VW had a good life!! You said a while ago that you were going to buy a new car. So this is a blessing in disguise, have fun car shopping.

Oh No!!!!!! Sooo glad you are ok.
You may recall I had a bad accident in December. Like you, my car was totalled...but I walked away!!! The police said if I had been driving anything smaller I'd be dead considering the woman who hit me was going 120mph!!!!

Sorry for your loss. Glad to hear you came out unscathed.

it's a blessing that you're not hurt.
i read a bumper sticker the other day that said "don't drive faster than your guardian angel can fly" ..so someone up there was definitely watching over you. :)
