Merry Christmas from Hong Kong

Merry Christmas from Hong Kong

Taken along the Avenue of the Stars. I don't know if it was a gift from Santa, but that area smells r-a-n-c-i-d!
Great place to enjoy the view nonetheless. I missed the light show unfortunately.

View from the ICC Sky100

View from the ICC Sky100

At the 100th floor of the ICC tower. I went through hell and back to get a shot without any glares. I was showered with strange looks as my camera, tripod, and myself was hunched over by the window covered by a huge leopard print scarf. HA they may have laughed at me but I'm laughing my way to flickr. SEE YA! I was also watching the nightly light show from here but I couldn't hear the music so I really didn't have a clue as to what was going on.

Attack of the Slimes

Attack of the Slimes

スライムが現れた!

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Dragon Quest, a very limited number of 1 million slime nikuman/pork buns made its way to Familymarts throughout Japan. As expected, it was such a hit that all slimes were sold out within a week. Once it's gone, it's gone!

Tokyo Tower Minato city view

Tokyo Tower Minato city view

Taken at the rooftop observatory deck at Roppongi Hills. This is one of the best places to shoot the cityscape of Tokyo Tower and Minato area, but they do not allow tripods! Or even backpacks or any baggage! They supply lockers for 100 yen and you must store all your belongings in there, with the exception of cell phones and cameras.
I managed to find a railing with a flat surface where I can prop my 5d, but I felt bad because it was kind of near the stairway where many people passed by. To add insult to injury it was pretty darn windy, so I couldn't do very long exposures because the rail would start swaying! And then I also forgot my cable release which caused some of the pictures to blur when I pressed the shutter. AGH!
