013/365: my obsession

so the whole outside world is solid ice. i had yet another snow day. i spent my morning inside using up the leftover ingredients to make what are known in my house as "nipple cookies."
turns out they're actually called "peanut blossoms."
    i like our name better.
anyway, they're usually made around christmas time. in fact, my christmas does not feel complete without them.

this picture looks even better blown up. you can see the grains of sugar on the cookies. mmmmmm.

A wonderful shot! Yep, they are a holiday staple around here as well. Your name seems much more apt and descriptive, but not quite as romantic as peanut blossoms. ;-)
