Cluttered kitchen corner

I've never managed to work out how some people keep their kitchens clutter free!

I love glimpses like this. I am with you about keeping kitchens uncluttered.

You make me smile. Everything about you whether cluttered or not breathes tranquillity and welcome. Don't ever change! If anyone tells you they can sort your clutter block your eyes and sing loudly. Just a few minutes on your photo stream and I come away smiling and peaceful.

A sweet composition as well. There's no way I could photograph my kitchen sink and it look so appealing!

I have 2 of the "bird on string" for lack of a better title, I love them....

So inviting! I think the way to not have a cluttered kitchen... is NOT USING THE KITCHEN. Seriously. That's the only way.

As a friend of mine says, its happy clutter!

You have everything at your fingertips. I don't have a lot of clutter, but I have to crawl up to hell and back to get some things... I like it. Our lake house was this way, and very serviceable.

It looks such a sunny, happy place to be! Love the wall colour, the bird tiles, and agree with zixii, it is so welcoming and friendly.

Give me a cluttered kitchen, full of beautifully useful tools and heavenly aromas anyday!

Beautiful frame, color, objects and arrangement. Clutter free kitchens are mostly unused kitchens

I'm glad to find myself among so many friends who are sympathetic to, and happy among kitchen clutter!!

Nicole and Omoo, I think you;ve cracked it, no cooking = no clutter! And I'm in good company with Claudia and Sue with the string of birds!!

In answer to the questions about the tiles, they are a very old and now discontinued Laura Ashey line - I am not a LA fan, I never liked her floral frilly stuff of the early days and I don't much care for the smart county look they have adopted these days but I fell in love with these tiles and bought them as an end of line years ago and used them many years later. I think they depict doves in an olive tree with an olive branch in their beaks but for all I know they could be partridges in pear trees!

Bob, I will henceforth refer to my kitchen paraphanalia as Epicurean art!

Zixi, it's lovely to think that my photos might cheer people up!! And I'm not likely to change now, I sometimes think about clearing away all my clutter and it just makes me feel tired!!

Anna my friend, it's lovely to hear from you, hugs!!

I love clutter, as long as it's clean clutter. I could never get to grasps with the minimalist look. I just doesn't do it for me.
Nice to see that I'm not the only one.
I just love this corner of your kitchen, it's beautiful Susie. xx

Laura Lee, thank you - I've had the birds for many years and I also love blue and red together!
Tina, thank you - minimalism is not for me either, I see a space and I have to fill it up!
    kira, many thanks!

Very nice-if you use it,it isn't clutter. I love the ironstone tureen base. Is that a topmark on the platter behind it?

  32. *Susie* (12 months ago | reply)

I got the tureen base in a junk shop many years ago and have always used it as a fruit bowl - the platter behind it is an old chipped Victorian one with a decorative floral edging which I think is just a cheap transfer, but I like it!
