Well, I can imagine the reason why then Sung Dynasty
Prime Minister's Huang, Dao Zhou 黄道州 after he retired, he still returned to his birth place Dongshan Island and died later.
I can comprehend; why My Late Dad's wishes on his last words conveyed to me:
"I miss my 3rd Prince -- Charlie. I Want To Wait for Him To
Return!!
"I Never Make it To Die In My Birth Place!!"
Tell him that :
His Light -- Our Chen aka Tan 陈 - Ancestors's Light aka 祖 辉 Will
Rise & Shines Again.

When A person about to die;
His/ Her Word or words is Always Honest & True!!

From My Childhood to Adult, deep in my mind is that My late Dad's is not sentimental & Loving towards my late mom's & also his 9 Children.
He is always have his long & sour face ......
I have been beaten up by him many many times.
Natalie is the only grand-child he carried in his life time!!
Actually he is just like his Dad (My Late Grandpa) like the Boy's more then the Girl's. The old fashion Chinese idealogy!!
Amongst his daughters'; He love the most is My late eldest sister's Irene.

It always need something drastic to make a person realise their mistakes. My father was a changed man after my mother's passing... for a better person.
It's good that we learn from them, so that our children need not suffer as much as we did.
