Things are not terrible, but not great either

Came back to the er around 9:30 last night with a fever of 101.2. They attempted the spinal tap around 12:30, but it didn't work. We were finally taken to our pediatric room at 4-freaking-30! They want to monitor him for 48 to 72 hours to make sure he doesn't develop any other symptoms than fever and to keep him on IV meds. I'll try to update as I can.
