Richard Mullin and Renee O'Leary

Richard Mullin and Renee O'Leary

(Commentary by Richard Mullin: RENEE O'LEARY! Big hair and a big friend -- That's me, not wearing a wig, when I had hair, as Harry Berlin in LUV (Chapel Street Players-- 1972) Renee, a Chapel Street fixture since 1959, was playing Ellen Manville. We two spent a lot of hours rehearsing and appearing together over the next 20 years.)

"Play It Again, Sam" (1975)

"Play It Again, Sam" (1975)

Richard Mullin as Allen Felix in PLAY IT AGAIN, SAM -- 1975 Chapel Street Players -- Barn Show Fundraiser- Performed in-the-round.
Woody Allen wrote this show with himself in mind, then played the part both on Broadway and on film. The character was a total loser dealing with both real and imaginary women -- as you can see, I enjoyed myself!

Denis being pulled back on-board in SEXTET 1982

Poor Denis, what a Klutz! He fell up and down every set of steps, put a hole in the dingy, dropped a outboard motor on someone's foot, sat on someone's sunglasses, got a terrible sunburn, lost his own contact lenses and fell overboard; but once he had a full tumbler of gin, he moved about flawlessly -- without causing any problems!

Richard Mullin in "The Sunshine Boys"

Richard Mullin in "The Sunshine Boys"

Willie Clark in THE SUNSHINE BOYS --Chapel Street Players -- Newark, Delaware-- Bob Lillich is about to swallow the "Aahh Stick."
Then he would say: "Hey, I just swallowed the stick!" Willie's line was: "Come back on Thursday. That's when I do woodwork!"
(The stick was attached to an elastic band inside my sleeve. All I had to do was let go of it and it would fly up to my elbow.)
