what can I say... it's purple and pink and blue-ish, it has water drops... it has sprinkles, reflecting jewellery, a ribbon, some feathers...
... it's a walking cliche

It's actually all purple. There is no pink or blue. Can you comment on any other aspects? For instance, the composition, the lighting, the DOF, the shutter speed, the focal range, are the elements brought together well?
I would say puppy dogs, flowers, candles and sunsets are pretty cliche too... wouldn't you?

you know I was just teasing you, right ?
first of all the composition is very well taken, I can see light coming from right aswell as left so it is well lit, the DOF is good , draws attention right where I think you intended, the waterdrop that is. the shutter speed isn't that important in a pic, meaning you set it to as much time as you need to (it's all about taste and how much light you want in your pic, and I see you didn't have a flash) plus I presume you have a lens... I myself don't have a lens because I own a Powershot and in my case I would have probably been forced to set a longer shutter speed... focal range is the same as saying DOF and as I said you focused on the waterdrop and wise you were in making this decision ....and all the elements brought together succeeded in creating a classy modern photo wich unfortunately is not on my taste that much but as far as I can see there are a lot of people that apreciate it. :)

Edit: and from the light spots on the waterdrop I can tell you did not shoot this in a light box, am I right ?
