I rode the 15 miles on Lamar between Barton Springs Road and Parmer Lane a little while back. I didn't care for that road much. Several people honked, and one guy questioned my sanity.

richardmasoner, I too question your sanity. Lamar's not that bad, except for the stretch between 12th and 30th-ish, but there are waaaay better ways to get north than that.

ha. no its not too bad. but they put in a ped bridge parallel to the lamar bridge and now if you ride the lamar bridge on your bike -some- people get indignant that you need to get on the ped bridge.

1/2 the time there is no traffic on the lamar bridge OR there's so much traffic you are going as fast as the cars.
