Brilliant action shot... that doggie is really running! My only worry would be if he was distracted - if he saw a cat perhaps. You may then go faster than you were planning!! ;o)

Hey, there's a cool attachment (maybe you're using it?) that looks like it may work. I think I'll buy one for my dog:

Lovely picture, but I'm having trouble working this out...

One hand on the dog, one on the camera, one on the bars.

Which one gives? It has to be difficult going hands free when your furry friends there is pulling you off to one side...

How's it done?

Far be it from me to poke a hole in a pretty mystery, but she could have slipped the leash onto her wrist, then used the same hand to take a picture, leaving the other hand free to steer.

Or she's the bestest hands-free rider ever. . .

the mystery is solved. yes -- scout it right. i steer with the left and hold with the right. when taking fotos, i put the camera loop string around my wrist, so i dont drop the thing and then the dog leash around my wrist too. and hope that all goes well. ha. he's very used to the whole setup by now and poses nicely...

I've been trying to train my pup to do the same thing. Do you have any tips? She's still in that phase where she wants to pull me down the road.

ha....well use that for your advantage! pie pulls like a rocketship....but i've taught him some commands uh: SLOW and STOP. which he responds to now (pretty much) i've also been working on 'start slow" he knows what i mean and will sometimes do that, but usually its a full out sprint when we start. then he sorta slows after a bit.

i dunno. just keep at it. he took to it pretty fast and learned that yes i'll let him run and have fun, but he has to listen to me and follow my lead or else we stop and stare at each other.

me staring at him like WHAT THE HECK.
him staring at me WHAT DID I DO.
