    I played with a fingerprint scanner that has been floating around the office.

    In the MICROS~1 world, they're black boxes that one can authenticate oneself with, but since I have a Linux box, I can capture the data that comes down the wire and convert it into a photograph, of sorts.

    (This is a toe, since toeprints are (so far) useless in meatspace to impersonate me.)
