Nicholasville Baptist Church

This is a small ad I did for my church. It is a really small congregation (around 70) and most of the folks are retired. I do work as a media artist at my seminary so I offered to do this for free.

It is only about an hour of work and they were really concerned with my first stuff. It was also for print ( a community insert in a local paper) and they didn't want to go to crazy with things, and this is what the like the most. The most important thing for them was a picture of the church, so that is what I gave them.

Not sure if this has already gone out but if not...I'd bring the church building in closer to fill 3/4 of the page, allow the graphics to overlap as a start...right now this is just too disconnected, there just isn't a flow. Certainly tough when they want to show the building as the primary focus. Maybe there is something interesting about the building closeup? Stained glass perhaps?

I had one picture that they had digitally taken out the stop signs and light poles and stuff.

I really wish that I would have had access to more, because it had a good feel to it...the whole project was really rushed.

Since this church is mostly retired people, I think the times and description text should be a little bigger depending on how large the ad is. They tend to not be able to read small print... my church is the same, and they start complaining if I go any smaller than a 10pt font.
