For those interested in the story of the Cougar Ace, aka The Fail Boat, see this article in Wired (printable all-in-one-page version; beware popup Print dialog).
The Fail Boat was full of about 5,000 Mazdas, at the time. They eventually got it back upright, and the cars back to shore, but Mazda was freaked out and smashed all the cars to pieces rather than risk lawsuits...

That was the ship carrying my new Mazda 3 from Japan, I ended up settling on a different color since the one I wanted was on that ship. They ended destroying all the vehicles on that ship, wrecked or not.
