Inspired by the Make:Tabletop Biosphere, I made a 1.5L BioJar.

This is a small amphipod. The round, orange masses are eggs. Amphipods are also called scuds.

This photo was taken by simply holding up a 10x loupe next to the lens of my Canon Powershot A95.

I also made a short video on the inhabitants using a similar technique.
