Once in a great while the game puts two instances of the same character in the world at once. Here's a snapshot from one of the community lots at Sim State University; Taylor and Beverly were doing the School Cheer together, when Beverly walked by!

That has happened in my game - it's particularly difficult when a character is friends with one version of a character, the friendship wears down, and then they try to call them to rejuvenate the friendship and they call the wrong one. Bool prop much? (that's the culprit imo)
